The Previous ASEAN EBS SUMMIT

The 2nd ASEAN EBS Summit was hold by the Senate of the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia. It was opened by seminar that was attended by more than 300 participants. The theme being discussed was ASEAN Integration and the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community in the year 2015.

On the second day of 2nd ASEAN EBS Summit, the delegates participated in Focus Group Discussion (FGD), to share about the role of the youth towards the new mobility system. Before the FGD itself, three winners of the 2nd ASEAN EBS Summit Paper Competition had the honor to present their thoughts and opinions in front of the forum.

The FGD was followed by the Forum Establishment Session (FES), which was the main part of the 2nd ASEAN EBS Summit. The objective of the FES was to establish a forum that would accommodate all student bodies in the fields of economics and business in the ASEAN region. The forum was named the Southeast Asian Economics and Business Students Network (SEACON).

On the third day, the delegates were taken to become better acquainted with the history and culture of Jakarta. The places visited were the Wayang Museum and Fatahillah Museum in Jakarta's Old Town, the Bank of Indonesia Museum, and the National Museum. Although the whole trip was tiring, the valuable experiences and moments were very entertaining and memorable.

The farewell party was the last and also the closing event of the entire 2nd ASEAN EBS Summit. Working together with the Jakarta's city government, all the delegates and the committee were treated to a warm reception held by the governor of Jakarta himself. The reception was held at Balai Agung in Central Jakarta.

This event consists of a gala dinner, music performances, and traditional dance performances. The delegates attending the dinner had to wear their traditional or national clothing from their individual countries or provinces. This closing event was held in a very fun atmosphere and left an unforgettable memory in the minds and hearts of all delegates and committee of the 2nd ASEAN EBS Summit.
